16. Triple Platinum
Hello, crossworld! I hope we are off to a great spring, a fantastic season because a) we can finally start to solve our crosswords outside and b) baseball!!!!!
It's hard to study the full scope of American history (though technically the sport is based on the British activity of rounders) without examining the indelible impact of this amazing, iconic pastime. In case you're wondering where my allegiance lies, my household bleeds Cubbie blue, and the 2016 World Series victory is still one of the happiest memories we cherish to the this day.
And as a result, today's puzzle...has nothing to do with baseball, whoops (maybe soon!). Special thanks to kormad for the deep, incisive test run!
